In this video I talk about Affiliate marketing and how it can help you make more money from your social media marketing efforts.  If you do not know what affiliate marketing is, it is just a way for you to promote someone else’s products or services and get paid for referring them.

Affiliate Marketing – How It Works

In the real world we all refer people to products and services we love.  Affiliate Marketing just takes this one step further.  With Affiliate Marketing you get a special link for yourself (as the affiliate).  You then promote and post that link anywhere you want.

It can be on Facebook.

It can be a Tweet from Twitter.

It can be an email to your email list.

It can be a link on your blog.

You can post this affiliate link anywhere you want.  Now when someone clicks on your link and buys the product or service you are promoting you get a paid a commission.  Pretty cool hey?  Affiliate Marketing is big money too.

Affiliate Marketing works the other way too as a product creator.  If you have a product you can have other people become affiliates.  They do all the promotion.  You only pay them when they make you a sale.

Some people like this better than just buy ads from somewhere like Google or Facebook.  Why?  Because if you do not make any sales you do not have to pay out any money.  It sucks when you pay out a lot of money in ads and do not make any sales.  Affiliate Marketing is a great way to protect against this.

How To Get Started With Affiliate Marketing

The best way to get started with Affiliate Marketing is to find a product that matches your market and you think your audience will like.  Then just sign up for that program.  It is free to do.  Next just get your special affiliate tracking link and start promoting it.  That’s all there is to using affiliate marketing

What you will find out is that after you have posted your link all over the place sales will start to come in.  Affiliate Marketing can take time to get going but once you get enough links out there you will start making sales regularly.

Here are some good network Affiliate Marketing networks that I recommend you start with:

Click Bank – They have thousands of products you can promote for free.  It costs nothing to get started with any of their affiliate marketing programs.  Just sign up and start promoting.  You can start with clickbank today.

JV Zoo – Similar to clickbank but they have different product offerings.  JV zoo works better for information type products aimed at people want to use the internet to make money online.  There are some good health and beauty offers in there too.  JVZoo works great and can make you a lot of money fast.

Commission Junction – Use this affiliate network if you want to sell physical products as one of your affiliate marketing programs.  You can work with the some big names from fortune 500 companies.  However, you do need to get approved for some of their affiliate marketing programs.  If you are actively using social media online this won’t be a big deal.

Share-A-Sale – They are much like JVZoo and clickbank for affiliate programs.  Use the 3 of them and you will certainly be able to find some good affiliate marketing programs that will match your business and market.
