When you are getting started on Facebook (or if you are doing a lot of Facebook Ads) then just knowing the right Facebook images sizes can be a challenge. I always find myself looking around for Facebook image sizes when I need to create a new fan page for client or when creating a new Facebook ad campaign.
To make life easy I just wanted to put all the Facebook image sizes in one place. That way you or I can easily find them.
So here they are. First I wanted to start with just Fan (Business) Page Image sizes. You will need these when you create your Fan page or if you are updating an existing one. Here is a quick tip. Make sure when you are creating a Business page to use custom images. It will make your page look more professional.
Here are the Facebook Image Sizes for 2015:

Profile/Business Page Images:
Your Business (Fan) page has 2 images. There is the larger Cover photo and the smaller profile Photo. You should always update both. Here are the image sizes:
Cover Photo: 815 px x 315 px
Profile Photo (logo): 180 px x 180 px

Here are the General guidelines to use when creating Facebook ads
Text: 90 characters
Headline: 25 Characters
Link Description: 30 Characters
Do not 20% or more Text with your images – [Check with Facebook tool]
Clicks to Website, App Installs, App Engagement, Local Awareness, and Facebook Offers:
Pretty much most of the Facebook ad campaigns you run will fall into this category. Here are the Facebook Image Sizes for them:
Image Size: 1200px x 628px
Multi-Product Ads:
Use this size if you are running multi-product ads only.
Image Size: 600px x 600px
Page Likes/Events:
Image Size: 1,200px x 444px
Post Engagement (Text Only):
Text: 500 Characters
Page Post Engagement (Photo):
News Feed Image: 1200px x 900px
Right column Image: 254 x 133
Page Post Engagement (Video):
Thumb Image: 1200 x 675
Facebook Video Specifics
Format: .MP4
Aspect Ratio: 16 x 9 or 4 x 3
File Size: 1 GB Max
