3 Simple Facebook Advertising Tips for Beginners
Here are the 3 simple Facebook Advertising tips for beginners that I talk about in the video above:
Use Facebook Custom Audiences – One of the single best Facebook Advertising tips for beginners is to put to a Facebook Tracking pixel on your site. This costs you nothing to do. What is it? Well Facebook gives you a tracking pixel to build what they call a “custom audience”. Basically anyone who hits your webpage (if they came from Facebook or not it does not matter) gets recorded by Facebook. They are able to know who this person is. They collect these people as a your own “custom audience”. After a few weeks this audience will build up to 100’s or thousands of people. Since these people are your website visitors they are a perfect crowd to run your first Facebook Advertising Campaign to. You can do this for only $1/day. So give it a try. It is my best Facebook Advertising tips for beginners. Start by running a simple Facebook Ad campaign to your own custom audience first. Only spend $1 or $2/day on this campaign to see how it all works.
Use Facebook Audience Insights – My second Facebook Advertising tips for beginners is to use something called “audience insights”. You can find this in Facebook Ads Manager. Audience insights lets you learn a lot about your ideal clients. Use it to laser focus in on your ideal clients. Pay close attention to the “pages they like”. It is a section in audience insights. The big Facebook Advertising tips for beginners here is to target your Facebook Ads at the fan pages that these people already like. Pick 5-10 different audiences. I know it sounds like a lot. But out of those 5-10 audiences you will get 2-3 audiences that work really well.
Test Your Ads – This is my 3rd Facebook Advertising tips for beginners. Do not boost a post. Instead go into Facebook power editor. Create your ad. Then make 3 copies of it. Change the image first. Then run a $20 test on those ads. Find out which images works the best. Now try different text and a different call to action button with your winning image. Make 3 more copies of your ad this time. Test the text and headlines. By the time you have finished the second round of ad tests you will have found a great working ad.
