Facebook for Bloggers Where To Start?

Facebook For BloggersWhen doing Facebook for bloggers the very first place I would tell you start is to add a Facebook tracking pixel to your blog.  Create a custom audience in the Facebook Advertising Manager for everyone who visits your blog.  You want to do this right now because every minute that goes by is time passing that nobody is being added to your custom audience.  So what is a custom audience anyways?

A custom audience is where Facebook will tag everyone that hits your blog and put them in a list (audience) for you.  This is my biggest Facebook for bloggers tip because of what you can do this this new audience.

A Facebook custom website audience is so powerful for your blog because you run Facebook Ads right to your website visitors for only $1-$2 per day.  Guys (and gals) that is some insanely cheap ad rates.  You need to be using it.  It is called re-targeting.

So you add this custom tracking pixel off Facebook to your blog.  People visit your blog and Facebook starts recording them.  Soon you will start building up a custom audience of everyone that has visited your blog.

So what do we do with our new Facebook audience?

Well the first thing you can do is start up a Facebook ad campaign.  Pick the audience for this campaing as your new custom audience of everyone that has been visiting your blog.  Take your most popular blog posts and make them into ads.  Now these ads are not trying to sell them anything. No.No.No.  These “ads” are just talking about your blog posts.  They can use the same images. What you are doing is having your blog pop up right in people’s news feeds when they go on Facebook.

You are not really selling them anything so your cost per click will be VERY low (a few cents each).  It is a great way to use Facebook for bloggers because you are bringing people back to your most popular blog posts for pennies.  You are also reminding people about your blog too.

How magical is that?  Reaching right into Facebook and having another touch point with your blog’s audience.

Facebook For Bloggers

In the video on Facebook for bloggers I talk about a cool technique for taking your most popular blog post and turning it into a lead magnet to build your email list with.  This works AWESOME!  You can use this new lead magnet as part of the campaign I’ve shown you above to build your email list too.

Facebook for bloggers is very powerful and will help you build up your blog faster.  Add Facebook’s tracking pixel to your blog and you have a very inexpensive way to get back in touch with your audience.  If you want even more Facebook tips check out my free Facebook marketing training here.
